Even with the best of intentions Buhl warns, “unless a job seeker is fairly certain a well-executed stunt will work, it probably won’t.”

At first glance, many of the jobs listed seem ridiculous. After reading the job descriptions, these “odd” jobs fulfill practical needs such as product development, customer service, medical treatments, and entertainment.

The moral of the story is: Don’t judge a job based by its title. Read the description to determine if the job is right for you. You might be surprised how rewarding an odd job can be.
