Lucas cites the recent World Cup match between Switzerland and Spain. Considered the underdog in this match, Switzerland surprised the world by defeating the higher ranked Spanish team.

How does this relate to your job search? Lucas receives numerous e-mails from job seekers who are losing hope in their job search. Lucas uses the Switzerland soccer team as an example of a team who wasn’t favored to win, but tried anyway.

How can you win a job? Lucas offers the following tips:

  • ‘Find out what qualities employees have in the company you are targeting.’
